TAFE Queensland General Manager on the Gold Coast, Karen Dickinson said there is an increasing need for talent and skills in the trade industry.
“Our Trades Open Evening is a great opportunity to determine if a course is the right option for you and to discover all there is to know about studying at TAFE Queensland,” said Ms Dickinson.
“We welcome anyone who is interested in commencing study to gain the skills they need to get a job, including those considering a career change.”
The Open Evening will host campus tours of the new $10.5 million training facility which features an array of practical learning zones for students undertaking building and construction courses from certificate I right through to diploma level.
Emphasising on safety, the training centre has a large undercover work space and open-plan classrooms with glass viewing platforms to provide a seamless transition from theory into practical learning.
Ms Dickinson said the purpose-built facility has cemented the identity of TAFE Queensland’s Ashmore campus as the Gold Coast’s biggest and best trade training centre.
The Trades Open Evening will offer something for everyone from school students to hobbyists and up-skillers to career changers.
