TAFE Queensland has been recognised as the 2021 Large Training Provider of the Year at the prestigious Queensland Training Awards.
Held annually the awards celebrate the achievements of both individuals and organisations alike along with their commitment and dedication to learning through Vocational Education and Training (VET) – an educational sector which proves time and time again a vital component of our society and economy.
Every year the event is better than the last and this year the awards celebrated a new calibre within the sector—the best in Queensland.
“This recognition is a tremendous acknowledgment of our commitment to training excellence and the wonderful work we are doing to help our students gain the skills they need to change their lives and build lifelong careers,” TAFE Queensland’s Chief Executive Officer Mrs Mary Campbell said.
“VET is truly life changing, and it is our absolute privilege to accept this award, on behalf of our employees, and on behalf of the students and employers we work with.
Mrs Campbell said that special thanks must go to TAFE Queensland’s employees who have made the award possible.
“I absolutely credit our organisation’s excellence to the strength and commitment of each and every member of the TAFE Queensland team.
Speaking directly to staff she said “No matter where you are or what you do, you all play an important role in ensuring we are giving the very best educational opportunities and service to our students and employers, and the wider community.
“I would also like to acknowledge our other TAFE Queensland finalists. Out of more than 80 finalists, 20 were our students, teachers and organisation category entries. What a tremendous effort!”
TAFE Queensland is Queensland's largest, most experienced training provider delivering practical, industry-relevant training across almost 500 qualifications at more than 60 campus locations throughout Queensland, from Thursday Island in the North, to Coolangatta in the South East, and as far west as Mount Isa.
The Queensland Training Awards is held every year in October. For more information about finalists, winners or how to enter visit the Queensland Training Awards website.
