Central Queensland centres on the eastern coast, around the Tropic of Capricorn. Its major regional centre is Rockhampton. The region extends from the Capricorn Coast west to the Central Highlands at Emerald, north to Mackay, and south to Gladstone.

TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services
Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)
AMEP is a free initiative designed to support eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants in improving their English language skills and settling confidently into life in Australia.
The program offers up to 510 hours of basic English language classes enabling participants to gain valuable skills that help them engage more fully in their communities, find employment opportunities, and build meaningful connections with others.
Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program
The SEE Program is a free Australian Government initiative that provides eligible Australians with training in language, literacy, numeracy, and digital skills.
This program supports individuals in building the essential skills needed to pursue further education, gain employment, and participate confidently in everyday life.
Apprenticeships and Traineeships
Our training will prepare you to take up tools in a specific occupation. You will learn the skills and ability to build things, fix things, create and make great things to be proud of.
