Course overview

This course is a requirement for those seeking to become accredited with Safe Food Production Queensland (SFPQ) to field process wild animal carcasses for sale as meat, and sell these carcasses to field depots (boxes). Delivered online, you'll learn about micro-organisms, through to hygiene and sanitation, and legislation.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Resources required

You will require access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online systems, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at a number of TAFE Queensland locations. You will also require a valid email address.

Need to know

Please note: before TAFE Queensland can issue your Statement of Participation, you will be required to provide a certified copy of your:

  • Current Firearms Licence
  • Proof of a Practical Test of Marksmanship

These forms must be received by TAFE Queensland within 1 year of you completing your course.
