This course satisfies the training requirements specified by the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) for students seeking a backflow prevention endorsement on their plumbing licence.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

You must hold a current Queensland Plumbing licence with a Backflow endorsement.

Resources required

Personal protective equipment :

  • protective footwear – safety toe cap and non-slip soles to AS2210
  • protective eye wear - safety glasses – Econospec S55C (clear - AS/NZ 1336 or 1337)
  • protective clothing – neat and casual clothing (in classroom),100% cotton drill shorts and shirt for practical classes(sleeveless shirts or singlets are not permitted)

Students failing to meet these minimum standards of dress will not be permitted entry in to practical classes.
