Course overview

To obtain an Electrical Work Licence in Queensland, Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) holders must contact the Electrical Safety Office (ESO).

Applicants will be issued a 12 month electrical work training permit to allow them to perform electrical work under the supervision of an appropriately licensed worker.

You must then complete the Australian context gap training with an approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO). On successful completion of the training, you can then apply for your licence.

Please note that although permits are issued for 12 months, depending on your previous experience, you may be deemed competent by your RTO sooner.

This course is approved by the Electrical Safety Office (ESO).
