Build on your existing creative knowledge and strengthen your painting practice with experienced multi-disciplinary artists. This course supports artists who are ready to extend their confidence, explore new approaches, and develop more intentional, expressive and technically resolved artworks.

Extend your painting skills through this practical short course designed for artists who want to move beyond the basics and deepen their creative practice.
In a supportive, studio-based environment, you will build on your existing creative knowledge while exploring colour relationships, composition, surface preparation, mark-making, layering, brushwork, texture and the expressive possibilities of different painting materials. Guided demonstrations and practical exercises will help you strengthen technical control, develop your ideas from initial concept through to completed artwork, and experiment with contemporary painting methods.
The course balances structured support with space for individual style, critical thinking and personal creative direction. You will work with a range of painting mediums and approaches, receive constructive feedback, and develop strategies for evaluating and improving your own work.
Ideal for emerging, returning or practising artists, this course will help you grow confidence, strengthen your technical foundations and produce more resolved artworks for personal development, exhibition opportunities and portfolio growth.
