Course overview

This non-accredited course provides training in glaze technology for beginner and intermediate students. It provides a basic understanding of ceramic glaze fundamentals for studio potters and ceramicists wanting to approach glazing from a theoretical point of view focusing on the chemistry of glaze. For this short course, you will be under the tutelage of well-known Cairns ceramicist, Olivia Azzopardi.

Resources required

You will be required to have access to and bring to class the following:- 

  • P2 mask
  • 2 x 500ml containers
  • Gloves (optional) 

Please note: covered shoes must be worn at all times in the studio. We also suggest you wear old clothes and an apron.
