Course overview

Learn new skills that help visualise your building and construction projects.

The Creating Construction Models with Virtual Reality course demonstrates how organisations, companies and individuals can visualise building and construction structures in a 3D Virtual Reality environment. The course helps make the transition from “brick and mortar” physical prototypes and foam models to Virtual Reality models in a 3D space. The course aids construction companies, architects, developers and individuals to visualise their commercial and domestic construction and infrastructure projects into a real life application. This allows a person to amend a design before it is built.

The aim of this online course is to give participants the skills to translate constructional concepts and Computer Aided Design (CAD) models into Virtual Reality using the software application – Twinmotion.

This course will cover:

  • basic navigations and adjustment inside the Twinmotion software application
  • settings and views - quality settings
  • adjusting live model - adding lighting, reflections and changing scene materials
  • adding animation paths and vegetation
  • adding your model to the correct location using Google maps
  • adding cameras, weather, lighting
  • outputting your work to different formats - virtual reality, panoramas and still renders.
