Course overview

Blender is an open-source 3D modelling and animation software that can be used for 3D modelling, visual effects, virtual reality, computer games and motion graphics. It has all the necessary tools to build organic shapes, and has powerful features to print them using 3D printer. 

3D printing is used in many areas:

  • design
  • film
  • entertainment industry
  • manufacturing
  • medicine
  • architecture   

In this course the participants will learn how to use Blender to build organic 3D models (such as characters, trees and other artistic design shapes). You will learn how to use Tool sets, edit mesh, prepare models in format suitable for 3D printing. The model/design will be 3D printed in classroom, you will be able to see the process and take your printed model home.
