Course overview

Learn how to design and install grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems and enhance your career in electrotechnology and renewable energy with this skill set. This course is designed for experienced electricians who hold an unrestricted electrical licence.

This skill set covers identifying and isolating multiple supply systems, applying safe work practices in the rooftop solar industry, designing grid-connected PV power supply systems, and installing and commissioning a low voltage PV power system to the grid power system. You'll also learn how to solve problems with solar radiation, PV modules, and the impacts of tilt, location and orientation on the output of a PV system.
