Entry requirements

Selection criteria
You must hold and provide evidence of:
  • a current Interim Gas Work Licence 

You must also provide evidence that you have met the pre-requisite requirements for CPCPGS4022 - Service Type A gas appliances:

  • CPCPCM2043 – Carry out WHS requirements; and
  • CPCPGS3053 – Disconnect and reconnect Type A gas appliances
Acceptable forms of evidence include:
  • Statement of Attainment
  • Record of Results
  • Authenticated USI VET Transcript

Resources required

It is recommended that you have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader. This equipment and software is available for use at all TAFE Queensland locations. TAFE Queensland students have access to Microsoft 365 apps & services. You are responsible for meeting the minimum occupational health and safety requirements in practical classes.
This includes the use of:

  • safety glasses or clip-ons (for prescription glasses), conforming to AS/NZS 1336 or 1337
  • ear protection – ear muffs or ear plugs 
  • protective footwear with safety toe cap and non-slip soles to AS2210
  • You should also wear 100% cotton drill industry-standard clothing including overalls and long sleeved, heavy duty shirts and pants (for welding).

If you fail to meet these minimum standards of dress, you will not be permitted entry into practical classes.
