This program is available exclusively to individuals currently employed in the industry.


Selection criteria

You must:

  • be an existing employee of a participating Queensland manufacturing business
  • be employed in roles directly related to baking or closely related food manufacturing functions
  • meet any entry requirements determined by the Supplier, including completion of any required pre-enrolment review, skills check, workplace suitability confirmation, or verification of industry relevance
  • not be eligible for existing Queensland Government training subsidies or funding pathways for the same training

The Supplier is responsible for confirming and retaining evidence of participant eligibility and must provide such evidence to the student on request.

Evidence required - Employer Confirmation Email
You must provide an email from your current employer, sent from an official organisational email address, that confirms all of the following:

  • you are currently employed by the organisation and are working in a role directly related to baking or closely related food manufacturing functions
  • the employer supports your participation in the training program
  • to the employer’s knowledge, the you are not accessing, and are not eligible for, another Queensland Government subsidised training pathway for the same or equivalent training

The employer email must clearly identify the organisation, your role, and the name and position of the employer representative providing the confirmation.

  • suitable headwear to meet safety standards
