Hospital Security Officer Essentials is a one-day professional development course designed to build the practical skills and confidence of security personnel working in healthcare settings or those security officers wanting to gain employment in healthcare settings.

This one-day course provides hospital security officers and healthcare support personnel with practical, contextualised training to operate safely and effectively in healthcare environments. You will build key skills in communication, de-escalation, managing aggression, mental health awareness, emergency response, legal responsibilities and incident reporting, with learning applied through realistic hospital-based scenarios.
By the end of the course, you will have a stronger understanding of your role within a clinical setting and be better equipped to respond consistently, professionally and safely to challenging situations involving patients, visitors, staff and emergency incidents.
