Course overview

Huxley School of Makeup and TAFE Queensland offer students outstanding training to take control of their career in the field of specialist makeup services.

Students can expect to learn essential techniques and industry standard skills. During this course students will cover everything from core makeup disciplines through to advanced fashion, cinema and special effects makeup techniques.

On the completion of the course students will graduate with an incredible portfolio of their work from shooting over 20 times with a fashion photographer plus a beautiful video portfolio. The Huxley School of Makeup also offers students incredible work experience opportunities, such as fashion shows, films, TV series and more.

Successfully completing this qualification ensures students are job ready in the fields of film, TV and fashion, including photographic, bridal and cosmetics industries.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

Enquiries regarding this program can be directed to Huxley School of Make Up

Entry into this program will include an interview at Huxley School of Make Up. Students must bring the following to the interview:

  • Identification (passport or drivers licence)
  • Year 12 Certificate or Certificate IV or above qualification (if applicable)
  • Any previous examples of your make up work where applicable

Please note: No previous make up experience is required to complete this course

There will be 4 - 6 lessons per week

Classes are from Monday to Thursday and classes are held at the Huxley School of Make Up -  4/87 West Burleigh Road BURLEIGH HEADS
