Complement your trade knowledge with business acumen with this course. You'll learn how to apply legal requirements and risk management to building and construction, and you'll also learn how to project manage contracts.
The successful completion of the business management course will be accepted as evidence by the QBCC that the participant meets the business and building knowledge requirements to be licensed as a subcontractor.

You will be able to access your learning materials from the first day of the study period. You must be enrolled to be able to access your learning materials. You will be expected to undertake additional self-directed study in order to complete the course requirements.
If you want to go on to further study at university, TAFE Queensland has a pathway option to get you there. In many cases, completing one of our diplomas may give you a full year of credit towards a degree with one of our partner universities.

If you have difficulty paying for the full cost of a course upfront, you may be eligible for a payment plan.
While there are no formal entry requirements for this course, it is recommended that you have completed year 10, or are 16 years of age or above, and that you have sound literacy and numeracy skills. It is desirable, although not mandatory, that you have completed a trade level qualification in the building and construction industry.
It is highly recommended that you have a current email address and access to a computer and the internet.
Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
