Add to your existing hairdressing or barbering skill set with this short course in chemical reformation. This skill set is aimed at experienced hairdressers and barbers who require the skills to be able to perm and add volume to hair.

In this skill set you will learn how to consult with clients; analyse hair characteristics and condition; select appropriate products and equipment; safely apply chemical reformation products; rinse, neutralise and condition hair; and provide home care advice to clients. 

Successful completion of this skill set will equip you with the skills required to complete chemical treatments to add curl or body to short or medium length hair.

This course is for hairdressers or barbers currently working in the industry who require skills to be able to perm and add volume to hair.

Resources required

It is requested that you bring your own tail comb, brushes, scissors, etc.

Electrical equipment, consumables and clients will be provided by TAFE Queensland during your training.
