A funded pathway to a career in VET training and assessment
Building a strong, skilled training workforce for Queensland
The TAE Support Package for Students forms part of Measures to Strengthen the VET Workforce, a joint initiative between the Australian Government and the Queensland Government. The initiative supports the growth of Queensland’s vocational education and training workforce by increasing the number of qualified trainers and assessors across priority industries. As part of this initiative, the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) has awarded delivery of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) to TAFE Queensland and CQUniversity.
What the program offers
The program provides funded and low-cost pathways designed to support you to complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and transition into employment.
The program includes 52 funded TAE scholarship places, which provide:
- financial support covering course costs
- cash payments at key course milestones
- mandatory work placements to build practical skills and networks
- employment assistance to support job outcomes
- wrap-around learning support to assist you to successfully complete the qualification.
In addition, a limited number of low-cost TAE places are available, with course fees reduced to $300 and refundable upon completion.
If unsuccessful in your scholarship application, you may still be considered for a low-cost place, subject to eligibility and available funding.
