Celebrate Your Achievement!

The Apprentice and Trainee Awards are a free celebration for eligible TAFE Queensland apprentices and trainees who have completed, or are on track to complete, their qualification during the eligibility period.

Join fellow graduates, along with your family, friends, employers and supporters, as we celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievements of apprentices and trainees across a wide range of industries.

Throughout the evening, several awards will be presented, including the Excellence Award, which recognises one outstanding apprentice or trainee.

You don't need to be nominated for an award to attend, completing your qualification is an achievement worth celebrating.

To ensure apprentices and trainees who complete their qualification at different times throughout the year have the opportunity to be recognised, the Apprentice and Trainee Awards are held twice a year.

Apprentices and trainees who have completed, or are on track to complete, their qualification with TAFE Queensland between 31 March 2026 and 1 October 2026 are eligible to attend and be considered for nomination.

Event Information

Date: Thursday, 15 October 2026

Time: 5:30-7:30pm

TAFE Queensland Bundaberg campus

  • Apprentices and trainees who have completed, or are on track to complete, their qualification with TAFE Queensland between 31 March 2026 and 1 October 2026 are eligible for nomination. 
  • To be eligible, all training requirements must be signed off by TAFE Queensland, including the relevant teacher and employer. Nominations must be submitted by the apprentice's or trainee's employer or teacher, and nominees must register their attendance.
  • Please note that apprentices and trainees who complete their studies after 1 October 2026 will be eligible for consideration in the next awards night. 

Who can nominate an apprentice or trainee?

Nominations can be submitted by an apprentice's or trainee's employer or TAFE Queensland teacher.

How will I know if I have been nominated?

If you are nominated, you will receive an email from TAFE Queensland with information about your nomination and how to register for the event.

When will I know if I have been nominated?

Nominations close on the 18th of September; we will be emailing nominees as they are being nominated. 

Do I need to purchase tickets?

This event is free to attend, but you will have to register to attend. Please register using the Register Now button

Will catering be provided?

Yes. Catering will be provided during the event. Please advise of any dietary requirements when registering. Drinks will be available to purchase from the cash bar..

Can I attend if I haven't been nominated?

Yes! The Apprentice and Trainee Awards celebrates all eligible apprentices and trainees who completed, or are on track to complete, their qualification during the eligibility period.

Who can I bring with me?

You can bring whoever you'd like to support you! Family, friends, employers and coworkers are more than welcome; please be sure to register their attendance.
