Workplace Giving Program Reaches $50,000 Milestone
The TAFE Queensland Scholarship Foundation is celebrating a remarkable milestone, with more than $50,000 raised to help students overcome barriers to education and achieve their career goals via TAFE Queensland’s very own Workplace Giving Program.
Launched in February 2024, the Workplace Giving Program enables TAFE Queensland staff to make regular donations that support students facing financial hardship and a range of other challenges that can make study difficult, including caring responsibilities, disability, health issues, and the barriers often experienced by those living in regional and remote communities. These scholarships provide life-changing support to people from all walks of life, helping to ease the financial burden of study so students can remain focused on their education and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
One of the program's supporters is Ilana Boon, Director Customer Experience, East Coast Region, who believes education has the power to transform lives.
"I support the Workplace Giving Program because education has had a profound impact on my life. It has opened doors, shaped my growth and enabled me to contribute meaningfully to my communities," Ilana said.
"I believe everyone deserves access to education and training that empowers them to become their best selves and create opportunities for their future, and the Workplace Giving Program helps me contribute to that in a small way."

The TAFE Queensland Scholarship Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to helping students access and complete their education. Through the generosity of donors, corporate partners and supporters, the Foundation has distributed more than $3.7 million in scholarships, to over 795 students across Queensland gain the skills, training and qualifications needed to build better futures.
