Games and interactive design labs

Our games and interactive design labs feature the best in modern gaming tech, including an opti-track motion capture system, Leap Motion, and Oculus Rift Virtual Reality systems. We have a dedicated Alienware lab featuring dual touch screen monitors. The lab also showcases past and current technology such as haptic devices, arcade machines and racing and flight simulators.

Coomera labs

Bachelor of Games and Interactive Media students at Coomera have access to an industry-standard range of hardware and software including Alienware development machines equipped with dual monitors, Unity, Unreal Engine, and the Adobe Creative Suite.

Also included are Oculus Rift and HTC Vive Virtual Reality (VR) systems, 3D printing equipment and an OptiTrack motion capture system.

One of the most important opportunities for Coomera students is in developing content for several Gold Coast based companies as part of their project work using interactive VR, 360-degree video, and 3D modelling/animation.
