TAFE Queensland and Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) was held from 4-15 April 2018.

TAFE Queensland was the official Training Partner of GC2018 and made a significant contribution to making sure the Commonwealth Games were memorable and nothing short of great.

As the training team behind GC2018, TAFE Queensland developed a bespoke vocational education and training program for the 15,000 volunteers to ensure they had the right skills to help bring the Games to life. In the lead up to the Games 360,000 hours of training were delivered across more than 200 different volunteer roles.

TAFE Queensland also celebrated its partnership with the Games as Presenting Partner – GC2018 Basketball and Official Partner of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Australian Team.
