Course overview

Complete year 11 and 12 in an adult-learning environment with our alternative education program. This course is perfect for 15 to 17-year-olds who are looking for a practical and independent alternative to the traditional high school system. The flexible program offers you the option to pursue a QCE and/or vocational pathway dependent on whether you want to go to uni or get straight into the workforce.

The course gives you the option of studying traditional high school subjects like English, maths, biology, and study of society; music, drama and arts; or health education, aquatic practices and vocational certificates. Our highly-experienced teaching team are the best in the business. They are available to offer one-on-one guidance in an adult-learning environment, tailored to ensure you succeed in your studies.

Successful completion of this course will qualify you to pursue higher-level studies with TAFE Queensland, take advantage of our university pathways, or transition straight into work.

Purpose-built learning environment

Our Alexandra Hills campus is equipped with industry-standard vocational training facilities enabling year 11 and 12 students to learn in a friendly, supportive environment. Students will have access to a fully-equipped resource centre, theatre and auditorium, computer labs, canteen, and multi-purpose activity centre.

Mentor Program

All of our students are appointed a mentor, who will offer support and guidance while studying. The program also contributes to your QCE points as part of Social and Community Studies.

Students must attend an interview at which they will complete their Senior Education and Training Plan (SET Plan) and subject selection.

Course Pricing
The total cost of Senior College may vary from $500 - $900 (Full Fee) depending on the subjects chosen per year. Prices may differ depending on which electives are chosen. 

There are three compulsory classes which all cost $110.00 each;

  • Social & Community Studies
  • Maths (Essential or General)
  • English (Essential or General)
