There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
If you have the intention to apply to become a Commissioner for Declarations or Justice of the Peace (Qualified) you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria set out in the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations Act 1991 prior to enrolling, which includes the following:
- hold Australian Citizenship (by birth or grant);
- be 18 years of age;
- be on the Queensland electoral roll; and
- have no criminal convictions.

In order to successfully complete your online studies you must have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect.

When studying online it is strongly recommended students follow the order of study and enrol in no more than two units per intake or the units required to complete a cluster/stage, unless otherwise advised.
This accredited course is expiring. A transition period applies to enable current students to complete their study. The transition period finishes on 15 July 2025. Enrolments must be finalised by this date.
