There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

If you have the intention to apply to become a Commissioner for Declarations (Cdec) or Justice of the Peace (Qualified) you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria set out in the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations Act 1991 prior to enrolling, which includes the following:

  • hold Australian Citizenship (by birth or grant);
  • be 18 years of age;
  • be on the Queensland electoral roll; and
  • have no criminal convictions.

Resources required

In order to successfully complete your online studies you must have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect.

Order of Study
When studying Online self-directed it is strongly recommended students follow the order of study and enrol in no more than two units per intake or the units required to complete one cluster/stage, unless otherwise advised.

There are  several Online self-directed intakes per year. Whilst study is flexible there are set start and close of study dates. All courses will also have assessment due by dates which are published in your unit in Connect.
