Selection criteria

You must provide evidence that you are working in the sector as you will be required to complete assessment activities in the workplace student logbook.

Legislative requirements
As of 1 April 2025, the approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that nominated supervisors, persons in day-to-day charge, and family day care coordinators have completed ONE of the below courses under Section 162A of the Education and Care Services National Law.

  2. CHCPRT001 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk*
  3. CHCPRT026 - Support the rights and safety of children and young people*
  4. CHCPRT002 - Support the rights and safety of children and young people*
  5. CHCECE057 - Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles*

*Superseded qualifications

Staff who have completed it as part of their certificate III or diploma qualification do not need to complete it again.
