Develop the practical skills and experience required to work in the performing arts as a stage and film actor, performing artist, performance maker, or arts facilitator. According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as actors and other entertainers has grown very strongly over the past five years and is expected to continue to grow in the future. There's likely to be around 6,000 job openings in this industry over the next five years with employers looking for people who are reliable, have strong people skills, and can communicate well with diverse audiences.

Acting students will also have regular opportunities to demonstrate your performance skills and abilities in our live performance and production events.

TAFE Queensland's comprehensive acting and performance courses will give you a solid grounding in acting, body and voice techniques, performance making skills, production theatre, entrepreneurial skills, community engagement, and performance theory.

Robert the Cat (RTC) is a new theatre collective led by experienced teachers and directors working within the acting program at TAFE Queensland. The collective is proudly supported by Metro Arts as their emerging company in residence.
