Study floristry

Florists plan and design floral arrangements to decorate hotels, churches, halls, and other venues for special events. Our practical floristry courses will teach you how to carry out a range of sales and design activities in a floristry studio.

A new generation of florists are driving a renaissance in the Australian flower industry. Internet savvy floral designers are embracing new technologies including social media to boost their profile and drive business. There are also opportunities for florists to target niche and lucrative markets such as weddings and memorial services.

As a TAFE Queensland floristry student you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills at exciting events throughout the year. Our teachers are all industry experts who will give you valuable insights from their many years of experience in the floristry business.

We offer both introductory and intermediate floristry courses. Get the skills you need to work as a qualified florist in a range of businesses including retail floristry shops, studios, and online floristry businesses.
