The Adult Tertiary Preparation (ATP) course is specifically designed for people who want to study at university, but do not have the entrance rank they need to gain entry. The Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation will give you a tertiary rank (OP) and help you fulfill the subject prerequisites for university entry. ATP is ideal for anyone who has been away from formal education for several years. You can achieve an entrance rank between 74 (OP 12 equivalent) and 91 (OP 4 equivalent) when you graduate. You can also boost your rank up to 98 (OP 2 equivalent) if you also sit QTAC’s Special Tertiary Admissions Test.
Successful completion of the Adult Tertiary Preparation course will allow you to complete any prerequisite units you need to gain entrance to your preferred university course.
