You will be embedded within the QRL environment, learning back office skills such as marketing and public relations as well as coaching and game development elements.

Rugby league has established itself as one of the premier sports in Australia. The success of the Queensland Maroons in the State of Origin series is fuelling continued growth in the sport throughout Queensland. According to nrl.com, rugby league participation grew more than 3.5 per cent in 2018. Women are joining the sport in increasing numbers with the number of female players more than doubling in the past three years.
The Maroons Academy covers key sports development areas. This study is coupled with 120 hours of code-specific training with Queensland Rugby League coaches and staff. You'll study event management, learn how to develop coaching programs, and increase your business acumen.
You'll graduate with a diploma qualification as well as several industry-specific certifications. This course will prepare rugby league staff, officials, coaches and volunteers to build their careers and lead the future of the sport.
