TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services

TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services (TELLS) provides language, literacy, and numeracy training to individuals, job seekers and migrants through the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program. 

The AMEP is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs and delivered at our locations across Queensland. The SEE program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

The Adult Migrant English Program 

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) delivers free English lessons to new migrants to Australia. The program offers basic English language classes to help you develop your English language skills and settle confidently into your new life in Australia.

The Skills for Education and Employment Program

The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program provides free language, literacy and numeracy training to equip individuals and job seekers with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in further studies or in the workforce.

Volunteer Tutor Program

Get involved and become a volunteer tutor. You’ll help our AMEP students to improve their English language skills for work, further study, and everyday activities. Sign up today for the chance to make a life-changing difference to your local community.

TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services (TELLS) has more than 50 readers, dictionaries, student workbooks and teacher resources available for purchase. We offer a range of adult literacy, numeracy, and English second language resources that address issues or topics relevant to daily life in Australia.
