Legislative requirements
As of 1 April 2025, the approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that nominated supervisors, persons in day-to-day charge, and family day care coordinators have completed ONE of the below courses under Section 162A of the Education and Care Services National Law.

- CHCPRT026 - Support the rights and safety of children and young people*
- CHCPRT002 - Support the rights and safety of children and young people*
- CHCECE057 - Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles*
*Superseded qualifications
Staff who have completed it as part of their certificate III or diploma qualification do not need to complete it again.
