Thinking about what to do in Years 11 and 12 or after high school or just want something different to do in the holidays? TAFE Queensland School Holiday Workshops let you try a study area in a real campus environment, with hands-on sessions led by industry-experienced teachers.

What You'll Need
- Parent or guardian permission and contact details when registering.
- Enclosed shoes and workshop-appropriate clothing (work boots are required for the Road Ready: Get Set for the Road workshops).
- Lunch, snacks and a water bottle.
- A notepad and pen.
- Any personal medical equipment, such as asthma inhaler, puffer or EpiPen.

Cost & Key Dates
- $95 for one-day workshops.
- $180 for two-day workshops.
- Registrations close at 5:00pm (AEST) on Monday 14 September 2026, or earlier if sold out.
- Places are limited, so early bookings are encouraged.

- Student registration closes at 5pm (AEST) on Monday 14 September 2026 unless sold out.
- An invoice will be issued upon enrolment. Full payment must be received prior to workshop commencement.
- Students who cannot attend on the day will contact TAFE Queensland via email schoolabsentees.goldcoast@tafeqld.edu.au
- Any students who do not attend within 30 minutes after the start of the workshop will have their parent/guardian contacted.
- Approval of all refunds is at the discretion of TAFE Queensland. Claims are to be sent to schoolabsentees.goldcoast@tafeqld.edu.au for assessment.
- Each claim will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and will require supporting documentation such as a medical certificate.
- No general refunds or cancellations requests, without supporting documentation attached will be accepted after sales close at 5pm (AEST) on Monday 14 September 2026.
What You Need to Know
As a TAFE Queensland School Holiday Workshop student, students have a responsibility to:
- Treat others with courtesy, respect and fairness;
- Respect the safety, well-being and property of others;
- Refrain from behaviour that may be perceived as unsafe, intimidating, discriminating, harassing, bullying or disruptive to others;
- Respect TAFE Queensland resources and facilities;
- Use computing and electronic resources appropriately;
- Bring along any required health items such as EpiPens, medications etc.
Student Misconduct
In the case of serious misconduct, a parent/guardian will be contacted at once and asked to pick up the student from campus within a reasonable timeframe. What happens on the day?
On the day
- Meet at the Customer Service Centre of your chosen campus 15 minutes before your workshop starts (that's 8.45 am!). Your teacher will collect you from there.
- If you are sick and can't attend, please contact us on schoolabsentees.goldcoast@tafeqld.edu.au
What if I am sick or running late?
- Students who cannot attend on the day are to contact TAFE Queensland via email schoolabsentees.goldcoast@tafeqld.edu.au.
