First aid
Knowing first aid can be the difference between life and death. Advance your first aid knowledge or update your current certification with this course to give you the skills to confidently respond in a medical emergency in the workplace or community. If someone yells ‘is there a doctor in the house?’ – you can respond ‘no – but I know first aid’.
Barista skills
If the thought of another 2pm instant coffee brings tears to your eyes – tears for crushed and burnt beans, soulless and scorched within an inch of their life by water hotter than the fires of Mordor – then this course might be for you.
You may not have the whole kit and caboodle coffee set-up at work, so you could consider this a hobby course. Introduction to Barista will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge required to make delicious espresso coffee – worthy of drinking. Why? BECAUSE! LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR BAD COFFEE.
Microsoft Excel
To many, there is nothing more beautiful than a well-crafted Excel spreadsheet, with perfectly spaced cells and working formulas – columns that add-up by themselves, cells that colour code automatically and the simplistic functionality of concatenate. If you need something that will help you Excel-erate your spreadsheeting then this course could be for you. Designed to assist you in improving your expertise and developing your skills further by mastering the tools and features of Excel, you will be a Microsoft wizard in no time.
People management in the workplace
People management is a hotly contested topic. As a soft skill, academics question – are you born with this ability or can you learn it? We believe it’s a little bit of both and with this course you will learn how hone your innate ability to get the maximum return on investment from staff and to maintain an efficient, harmonious working environment.
This course is particularly useful if you’re in a role where you hope to step-up to manage staff later in your career, you’re already a team leader or if you’re an owner or manager in a small-to-medium sized business.
