By TAFE Queensland

If you’re working in the building and constructions industry and you’re looking to get some extra skills under your belt to advance your career, you’re in the right place. Alternatively, if you run a business in the construction industry, use these programs to offset some of the costs to develop the skills sets of your employees to build and strengthen your business further.

Short courses

Keeping pace with industry is important. That’s why CSQ created their short courses program. The program provides funding for existing workers to access a range of single competencies and skill sets. From general construction, to electrical, to plumbing there’s something for every tradie.

Short courses for small business

If there’s 20 or less employees in your business, you may be able to access one of our small business courses. These courses focus on fundamental business skills, like digital marketing, accounting and negotiation and conflict resolution. Delivery modes are a combination of online and face-to-face. Find one that suits your needs.

Skills Assessment and Gap Training

If you’ve found yourself in the industry for a while, but don’t have the piece of paper to show it, the CSQ Skills Assessment and Gap Training (SAGT) program is a good option. Through the program you can have your existing skills recognised and receive the necessary gap training to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

Higher Level Skills

If you’ve completed your trade qualification, and you’re looking to build on your skills, take a look at what’s on offer under CSQ’s Higher Level Skills (HLS) program. Certificate IV and higher level vocational training qualifications are available under this program.

TAFE Queensland is a proud recipient of Construction Skills Queensland funding.
