Sacre Cordon Bleu!

A partnership that will make you see stars – Michelin Stars that is ***

Le Cordon Bleu is one of the world’s most prestigious cookery schools, renowned for producing chefs of the highest quality.

With the head office located in Paris, France, Le Cordon Bleu is an international network of culinary arts and hospitality institutes with locations in 16 countries worldwide.

The institute whips 20,000 students of over 100 nationalities into shape every year – preserving and passing on the mastery and appreciation of the culinary arts, while emphasising the appreciation of French technique – c’est magnifique!

Through a delicious pairing, TAFE Queensland and Le Cordon Bleu will support more hospitality students to develop their skills and reach higher standards in a range of disciplines.

How does the program work?

From the TAFE Queensland South Bank campus, our teachers will deliver the Le Cordon Bleu program and support the students with vocational placement direct into local industry. So Queensland businesses – pull up a chair, unfold your menu, as we get ready to dish up some of the finest skilled chefs – just for you!

From 1 July 2018 prospective students can select from the following main courses:

In addition, we’re investing $3.7 million into our already amazing training kitchens – the icing on the cake really.

From July, Le Cordon Bleu Brisbane Institute will train more than 1,200 hospitality students in the next five years to develop their skills and reach higher standards in a range of French culinary techniques and specialities, including gateaux, classic pastries, sauces and canapés.

Our CEO Mary Campbell said she was excited about introducing a program that will expand educational opportunities for the state’s students and industries.

“Le Cordon Bleu offers a great range of vocational and higher education programs in Australia, and it’s great to partner with a like-minded, highly-respected and credible institute launching at our South Bank campus,” Ms Campbell said.

“These new programs will offer students the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s best culinary experts.”

“This partnership will give our teachers the opportunity to deliver the Le Cordon Bleu program and support the students with vocational placement direct into local industry.”

No more cooking puns.

Bon appetite!
