FemTech project delivers future focused training
TAFE Queensland has been confirmed as a key delivery partner in the national FemTech project, led by Professionals Australia and supported by $4.9 million through the Australian Government’s Building Women’s Careers Program.
The initiative aims to address systemic barriers for women and gender-diverse people entering male-dominated industries, particularly across digital, engineering and advanced manufacturing aligned to Industry 4.0.
As part of the project, TAFE Queensland will deliver:
- Certificate II in Autonomous Technologies (1093NAT)
- Diploma of Applied Technologies (MEM50822)
- A new non-accredited short course in autonomous technologies (from 2027)
FemTech is one of only 10 large-scale projects funded nationally and represents TAFE Queensland’s second Building Women’s Careers initiative—reinforcing our role in delivering nationally significant programs that build capability in emerging industries and advanced
The program will support a stronger talent pipeline into technology and advanced manufacturing by engaging learners at multiple career stages, from school students through to career changers.
By improving access to future-focused skills for women and gender-diverse learners, the initiative contributes to both workforce diversity and Australia’s long-term capability in advanced manufacturing.
