Course overview

Get a head in your career in the community sector with this advanced qualification. This course is designed specifically for workers already in the industry who are looking to upgrade to a managerial position. This qualification will give you the confidence and flexibility to work in a leadership role across any number of growth industries in the sector.

According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, the number of people working as health and welfare services managers is expected to grow very strongly over the coming years. There are likely to be around 15,000 job openings in this area over the next five years, meaning your skills will be in high demand. 

This qualification reflects the role of workers who are middle managers or managers across a range of community sector organisations. These people work independently and report to executive management, directors or boards of management. They undertake a range of functions requiring the application of knowledge and skills to achieve results in line with the organisation's goals and strategic directions.

Successful completion of this course will give you the confidence and practical knowledge to lead projects or work in managerial roles in a diverse range of settings in the community services sector.
