Take the first step towards a career in the music industry with this entry-level course. Develop the foundation skills needed to work as a junior sound assistant or music assistant.

The creative arts industry plays an important role in Australia's economy. According to the Australian Government's MySkills service, it contributes over $10 billion to the our economy and employs nearly 100,000 people. The emergence of new technologies and wide range of job prospects available mean this is an exciting industry to be a part of.

This course will give you a basic knowledge of the music, performing arts, and creative arts industries. From the electives you choose you can start to develop skills in music literacy, musical performance, or audio and sound production. At TAFE Queensland our teachers are industry professionals, meaning you learn from the best in the field in our state-of-the-art facilities.

This course will give you the basic knowledge and skills required for entry-level work in the music industry. You will also be prepared to pursue further studies.
