Course overview

Kick start your career in manufacturing with this hands-on course specialising in recreational vehicle (RV) manufacture. Get the practical skills you need to become an RV manufacturer or RV servicer and repairer. 

In this course you'll develop the practical knowledge and skills required to create and build a variety of recreational vehicles including motor homes, caravans, camper trailers, slide-ons, and fifth wheelers. You'll also learn how to manufacture vehicles to meet key Australian standards including road worthiness and the Australian Design Rule (ADR). 

Successful completion of this course will qualify you to seek work in large manufacturing organisations or smaller RV manufacturing workshops. You'll also have the foundation knowledge and skills required to continue with further training in the manufacturing field.

Trade skills assessment and gap training program

If you can demonstrate substantial competency in this qualification, you may be able to access funding for recognition of prior learning and gap training through the Trade Skills and Assessment Gap Training (TSAGT) program. There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Transition statement

Replacement qualification
This qualification has been replaced by MSM31122 Certificate III in Recreational Vehicle Manufacturing, as of 2 February 2023. A transition period applies to enable current students to complete their study. The transition period finishes on 1 February 2024. Students who have not fully completed this qualification prior to this date will be transitioned into the replacement qualification.
