Increase your knowledge and gain powerful specialised skills in criminal justice with this mid-level qualification. You can open up a wide range of exciting employment opportunities with the police service, or within justice-related fields such as Border Force and corrections.

Learn specialised skills in the application of regulatory powers, analysing social justice issues, and identifying and applying the legal framework. Selection criteria

It is highly recommended that you have successfully complete one of the following before commencing this course as it provides the essential skills that form the basis of study for this qualification.

  • successful completion of Certificate III qualification, or
  • completion of Year 10 or equivalent with sound achievement in English, or
  • relevant work life experience in the business or justice fields

Resources required

It is recommended that you have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Need to know

When studying online it is strongly recommended students follow the preferred order of study and enrol in no more than two units per intake, unless otherwise advised.
