TAFE Queensland goes back to back in New South Wales

The launch of the Parramatta Eels Institute marks TAFE Queensland’s second New South Wales commercial partnership within 12 months, demonstrating sustained interstate growth and strong industry collaboration

The program launched with its flagship Dual Award combining the  Diploma of Leadership and Management and Diploma of Sport. For the first time, the partnership has expanded to deliver a second dual award. This new offering combines the Diploma of Sport with the Diploma of Project Management. The project management qualification aligns directly to the planning and delivery requirements of the NRL Las Vegas event.

The inaugural delivery applied a defined Academy of Sport project framework, supported by full meeting transcripts and structured minutes, establishing a repeatable and scalable delivery model to support future interstate expansion.

The first Parramatta Eels intake comprised two cohorts, totalling 42 students, delivered at the club’s James Hardie Centre of Excellence. Planning is underway to expand delivery through additional face-to-face and virtual options for the mid-year intake.

This delivery builds on the success of the Manly Sea Eagles Sports Business Academy, launched six months earlier. The Academy now operates three cohorts, with approximately 70 students undertaking dual qualifications, delivered at the Penn Centre of Excellence within Brookvale Oval on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Together, these partnerships reinforce TAFE Queensland’s capability to design and deliver scalable, industry‑aligned, multi‑qualification programs in partnership with leading professional sporting organisations.
