Learn how to manage workforce planning, develop employee and industrial relations policies, manage conflict resolution negotiations, and plan, manage and evaluate the delivery of human resource services. Entry requirements

Entry to this qualification is limited to those who: 

Have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies):

  • BSBHRM411 Administer performance development processes;
  • BSBHRM412 Support employee and industrial relations;
  • BSBHRM415 Coordinate recruitment and onboarding; and
  • BSBHRM417 Support human resource functions and processes.

Equivalent competencies are predecessors to these units, which have been mapped as equivalent. 

or 

Have two years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.

Selection criteria

Entry into the accelerated program is via an application process and requires you to have at least 3 years' experience working in the industry.
You will be required to complete the bksb to identify any Learning Support needs.
It is recommended that you have an understanding of basic business and technology concepts, which may have been acquired through previous training, qualifications and/or work experience in a business-related field.
You will be required to access and use technology to complete the learning assessment activities and resources within this course. It is important that applicants have the skills and knowledge required to complete written and practical assessments.

Resources required

It is recommended that you have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader. This equipment and software is available for use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

You will be provided with a recommended reading list and/or required textbooks during orientation or at the start of each unit. The purchase of these resources may incur additional costs, or you may be able to borrow them from the TAFE Queensland library network.

You are also required to have access to a calculator, a laptop or tablet device, a USB and a headset including microphone.

Important information

Order of Study
When studying Online self-directed it is strongly recommended students follow the order of study and enrol in no more than two units per intake or the units required to complete one cluster/stage, unless otherwise advised.

Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
