There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

It is strongly recommended that you have completed General Construction Induction Training (GCIT) prior to commencement of the course, or currently hold a valid GCIT (white card).

Important information

Our short course units are delivered throughout the week (Monday to Friday) and are customised to meet the needs of clients, students, or cohorts. We plan and negotiate all deliveries in advance.
For students with extensive industry experience or operator knowledge, challenge tests are available.

Assessments include both written exercises and observations, conducted either on campus or at worksites using live plant, equipment, and resources.

We prioritise workplace health and safety (WH&S) by tailoring training to the specific equipment used, recognising that not all excavators are identical.
