According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, demand for advertising and marketing professionals grew very strongly over the past five years and is expected to continue to grow in the future. This very large occupation is likely to create around 53,000 job openings over the next five years.
This course will equip you with specialised knowledge in customer research, web design, and digital marketing and communications. You'll gain practical experience developing promotional programs and small business marketing plans. In addition, you will learn how to pitch advertising concepts, identify and exploit market opportunities, and understand consumer behaviour.

Entry into the accelerated program is via an application process and it is recommended that you have at least 5 years' experience working in the areas of business, management or marketing and communication, and have an understanding of issues relevant to medium to large organisations.
No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course. It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system "Connect", and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.
Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
