Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Selection criteria

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, to enrol with TAFE Queensland you will need to be currently employed within the field of logistics.

It is recommended that you have management experience in the transport and distribution industry. If you have experience in the industry, you will be provided with the opportunity to RPL through competencies. The RPL process may confirm competence for whole competencies or it may identify elements of Gap Training to be met prior to assessment.

Resources required

You are responsible for meeting the minimum occupational health and safety requirements in practical classes.
This includes the use of:

  • safety glasses
  • protective footwear with safety toe cap and non-slip soles to AS2210
  • leather gloves to AS2161
  • hair protection
  • You should also wear 100% cotton drill industry-standard clothing.

If you fail to meet these minimum standards of dress, you will not be permitted entry into practical classes.

It is recommended that you have a valid email address, access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online systems, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader. This equipment and software is available for students to use at a number of TAFE Queensland locations.

You will require personal stationery including pens and paper.

Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
