The Queensland Future Skills Partnership
The Queensland Future Skills (QFS) Partnership is a three-way partnership between BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), TAFE Queensland and CQUniversity. The partnership is funding and facilitating the fast-tracked development and delivery of automated technology training pathways in open-cut mining operations in Queensland across VET and Higher Education.
Certificate II in Autonomous Technologies (10935NAT)
Prepare yourself to work in with Autonomous Technologies and related industries with this new qualification. Throughout the course, you will develop a broad range of skills driven by the introduction of new technologies as a result of industry 4.0. Employers will increasingly need workers to be equipped with skills in software, hardware and supporting systems required for autonomous environments.
During this course you will develop innovative thinking and problem-solving skills and develop foundational skills in information communication technologies including networking, programming and Internet of Things (IoT) and autonomy and robotics including electrical control circuits, fluid power, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and schematics and systems documentation
Micro-credentials
The Queensland Future Skills Partnership offers a range of micro-credentials designed to provide valuable information on new and emerging areas and developed in partnership with industry.
These micro-credentials have been provided at no charge to participants through investment from the Queensland Resources Industry Development Plan as part of the Queensland Future Skills Partnership funded by BHP Mitsubishi Alliance.
These micro-credentials are intended to assist participants to learn more about working in emerging, digital and autonomous industries. The micro-credentials are online and self-paced, making them a flexible and accessible way to study and gain a recognised learning outcome and digital badge.

Skillsets
The Queensland Future Skills (QFS) Partnership is led by BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) and includes TAFE Queensland and CQUniversity as education partners. The partnership has been working with industry experts, community organisations and government since late 2019 to fast-track responsive co-design and delivery of training to support the implementation of autonomous technology in mining.
These skillsets have been provided at no charge to participants through investment from the Queensland Resources Industry Development Plan as part of the Queensland Future Skills Partnership funded by BHP Mitsubishi Alliance.
We recommend nominating no more than one skillset per individual. Delivery dates and modes will be dependent on the review and award of EOI applications.
