TAFE Centre of Excellence Construction Tech

Led by TAFE Queensland, the Centre will develop targeted training solutions to deliver a skilled construction workforce.

The TAFE Centre of Excellence Construction Tech is building innovation in vocational education and training (VET) to strengthen the construction workforce in Queensland and across Australia.

With a commitment to emerging technologies, sustainability and workforce diversity, the Centre is collaborating with industry, particularly small to medium enterprises, exploring opportunities and addressing critical skill gaps.

The Centre has a strong focus on recognition of prior learning, enhancing entry pathways into construction careers and integrating VET with higher education.

The Centre will also fund Applied Research Grants to help solve industry-identified challenges and improve education and training outcomes.

The TAFE Centre of Excellence Construction Tech is a joint initiative between the Australian Government and the Queensland Government.
