Our bricklaying facilities at our Acacia Ridge campus include a modern, fully-equipped and light-filled workshop where our students work with clay, concrete, masonry and other building materials to create walls, partitions, arches, steps, stairs and other brick or block constructions. As a bricklaying student at TAFE Queensland you'll be trained in numerous technical and architectural methods ensuring you're prepared for every possible project.

Our painting and decoration facilities at Acacia Ridge include over 40 painting and decorating booths as well as wallpapering and spraying facilities where you'll learn numerous painting and finishing methods.
Our glass and glazing workshop at our Eagle Farm campus is a purpose-built, simulated training environment that allows our glaziers to learn skills in the manufacturing, processing, moving, and installation of various types of glass and components. You'll learn to select, cut, install, replace, and remove glass in a variety of settings including balustrades, glass splashbacks, mirror walls, shower enclosures, windows, shopfronts, and curtain wall framing on high-rise buildings.
Our plastering facilities at the Acacia Ridge campus provide our plastering apprentices with the perfect environment to learn their craft. With 14 purpose-built wall and ceiling plastering booths, two specialised high ceiling structures, and ten solid plastering training rooms we teach the latest techniques for both domestic and commercial plastering applications.
The tiling facilities at our Acacia Ridge campus include classrooms, training booths and workshops where you'll learn technical and architectural tiling methods including mosaic and curved surface tiling in pools, spas, and decorative areas.
Our industry-standard flooring training workshop at Acacia Ridge simulates commercial and residential environments, mirroring a real-world work environment. Our workshop is equipped to train students in the preparation and installation of concrete floors and sealants, epoxy and seamless floor coverings, densifiers, carpet, resilient, vinyl, and timber flooring. You'll also learn how to install decorative flooring, from initial design right through to installation.
Our roof tilers train in a real-world simulated environment at our Acacia Ridge location on roofs of all pitches and designs. We train to every aspect of the trade, from working safely on roofs using the latest tools and equipment, to cutting materials to fit around vents and chimney edges. You'll learn how to repair and replace valleys and valley irons, install barge tiles, secure roofing underlays, fix ridge caps and gable ends with cement mortar, and install concrete and terracotta tiles, stone slates and wooden shingles.
