Hair and beauty salon
Our fully operational hairdressing and beauty salon, Hair & Beauty Training Hub, offers a range of services such as hair styling, cutting, colouring, perming, and chemical straightening. Beauty services include waxing, tinting, manicures, pedicures, spray tanning, makeup application, facials, and massages. We use the same products, equipment, and facilities found in a real salon and work with real, paying clients. You'll have the opportunity to put theory into practice and gain practical skills in a real-world environment.
Visual arts facility
Pimlico’s new visual arts facility gives students access to contemporary creative spaces designed for hands-on, industry-relevant training. The facility includes specialist areas for sculpture, printmaking, drawing and painting, dark rooms, a 3D and multimedia tech lab, and flexible studio spaces. It supports training in visual arts, studio practice, and short courses, helping students build practical skills for further study, creative careers, and Queensland’s growing creative economy.
Simulated nursing wards
Our learning spaces are more than just a classroom. The simulated wards are equipped with the latest technology and use advanced training products including CAE JUNO nursing manikin designed to provide students with real life experiences in the health care setting. TAFE Queensland use the latest medical equipment meeting current industry standards. Our simulated Nursing wards provide students with an interactive environment under the direction and guidance of industry professionals.
Training restaurant and cafe
The George Coates Training Restaurant and our L-Plates Cafe give our hospitality students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment. While our cookery students are busy in the kitchen, our hospitality students manage the front-of-house, preparing and serving food and beverages to paying customers. You'll learn the workings of a real restaurant and cafe in state-of-the-art facilities under the guidance of industry experienced teachers. For restaurant bookings, please call 07 4759 7716.
